This man, in his 40s, came in for the first time. A friend had recommended me, and today he finally decided to come.
He had slept badly the night before, and for the past 15 days had been extremely anxious and on edge, waking up several times during the night. He arrived tired, worn out, and in urgent need of relaxing.
During our conversation, I could see how much his lifestyle was contributing to this discomfort. But changing it wasn't, for now, part of his plans. He felt comfortable living this way.
He drank a lot with meals and ate large amounts. Some meals would stretch out over 10 hours, with plenty of food and drink involved, a result, as he put it, of his lifestyle and social obligations.
Still relatively young, but already feeling the weight of his choices. Sex wasn't a priority for him, even knowing this lifestyle tends to hurt that side of life quite a bit, but, as he said himself, he didn't mind, he felt fine as he was, his pleasure was in eating and drinking.
From what I observed, it would be hard to find real balance with these choices, and the discomfort would likely persist unless some changes were made.
The massage went well, he nearly fell asleep, finally managing to relax. He was drowsy, and if he stopped for even a moment he would easily drift off. But he couldn't, he had work ahead of him. Sleep would have to wait for night.
Taking care of the body is everyone's own responsibility. Good health comes from sleeping well and living without pain, and that alone is already a form of happiness.
